CISNET Monograph: Impact of Screening and Adjuvant Therapy
on US Breast Cancer Mortality
JNCI has released a new monograph, The Impact of Mammography
and Adjuvant Therapy on U.S. Breast Cancer Mortality (1975-2000):
Collective Results from the Cancer Intervention and Surveillance
Modeling Network (CISNET).
This monograph presents results from the seven CISNET breast cancer
modeling groups who used modeling techniques to assess the relative
and absolute contributions of screening mammography and adjuvant
treatment to the reduction in breast-cancer mortality in the
United States from 1975 to 2000.
