Footnotes:
(1) Healthy People 2010 has separate objectives for fruit consumption and vegetable consumption (2 or more and 3 or more servings per day respectively) . The CISNET-Colon models measure the combined servings per day of fruits and vegetables. For modeling purposes, we treated the objective as a total of five or more servings of fruits and/or vegetables per day. This redefined objective is consistent with the CDC's "5 a Day for Better Health" program that aims to increase the number of daily serving of fruit and vegetables to 5 or more.
(2) Age adjusted to the 2000 standard population using age groups 25-29y, 30-39y, 40-49y, 50-59y, 60-69y, 70-74y.
(3) Age-specific trends applied after the year 2010 (no period trends).
