Chemotherapy (Optimistic but Realistic Goals met)

This model run shows projected CRC mortality through 2020 if optimistic but realistic chemotherapy goals are achieved, while risk factors and screening continue at baseline (projected trends) levels. Optimistic but realistic goals are better than the projected trends, though still realistically obtainable.

Chemotherapy is modeled based on two assumptions:

• In every case treated, the best currently available treatment is used.
• Chemotherapy is given to all who would potentially benefit from it.
